Just sitting and waiting for the days to tick by up to your due date can be horrendous and when the date ticks by and you have still not gone into labor you will really start to get fed up and may even worry about the need for a c section. However, there are some things that you can do and you can take control of the situation. Here are some tips to help to induce labor.</p>
<p>The first thing to try would be massaging and acupressure. If you go online you will be able to find lots of information about different areas of the body that, if massages, can cause the release of certain hormones. These hormones will, in turn, cause the baby to be born.</p>
<p>Another thing that you can try is nipple stimulation and sex. If you are able to stimulate the nipples by rolling them between the thumb and forefinger for only a few nipples on and off for a while then you may find that you induce your own labour. You can also get your partner to do this as well. If this fails then you may even consider sex. This, if done during the last couple of weeks of labor has been known to begin the process.</p>
<p>There are also certain foods and herbs that you can eat as well. Many women swear by the ingestion of certain foods in order to start the cycle so you should check with your doctor before you try anything out.</p>
<p>Lastly, you can try some other sorts of physical activity as well. Women have induced labor by doing things like going for long walks, doing a lot of gardening where they are squatting constantly, or just doing yoga.</p>
<p>These are only a few basic tricks that may help you to induce labor.</p>
<p>If your looking to get induce labor naturally you should consider finding a doctor that can perform it correctly. In order to help induce labor be less painful, you will be offered medicine for pain.</p>

Yes, you are pregnant and all of a sudden, an area that you have been trying to make flat for your entire life is as round as a basketball and there is nothing you can do about it, or is there?</p>
<p>Is it possible to feel fit and attractive during your pregnancy? The answer is yes! You can go through pregnancy feeling fit and strong. Follow these easy pregnancy exercises to help you survive pregnancy and even feel like a hot mama while doing it!</p>
<p>First of all, when you are pregnant it is still important to get in some cardiovascular exercise. If there was an activity that you enjoyed before you were pregnant, chances are you can still enjoy it during pregnancy.</p>
<p>Check with your doctor first, but during pregnancy you should still be able to walk, run, jog, cycle, and even participate in aerobics classes. If you want a low-impact activity, swimming is great because it offers cardio and resistance training.</p>
<p>Some other great exercises for pregnancy are Pilates and yoga. These are both low-impact exercises that can still be high in intensity. Pilates is great because it focuses on strengthening your muscles. This will be very helpful while going through labor.</p>
<p>Yoga is also an excellent choice for expectant mothers because it teaches balance and focus. These two things are very important for having a stress free labour experience.</p>
<p>Weight lifting and resistance training are also an excellent pregnancy exercises. Again, check with your doctor before starting a routine. Weight lifting and resistance training will build and strengthen your muscles which makes the whole process of having your baby less stressful.</p>
<p>Focus on exercises that target your core, the 29 muscles surrounding your lower lumbar, including your abs and obliques. By strengthening your core, caring your baby during pregnancy will be easier and labor and delivery will also go more smoothly.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For many people the word yoga conjures up something only vaguely related to the lotus position. However, it is more than just one pose; it embraces not only a physical discipline but also a philosophical basis for leading one&#8217;s life. The word itself comes from ancient Sanskrit text and roughly translates to &#8220;royal union, &#8221; which is to say a proper balance between body and mind.</p>
<p>The ancient text that provides the foundation is the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. It was written over two thousand years ago and is divided into four books. They are called the Samadhi Pada, Sadhana Pada, Vibhuti Pada, and the Kaivalya Pada. It is in the Sadhana Pada that one can discover the physical aspect of yoga.</p>
<p>Within the Sadhana Pada one will find the eight &#8220;limbs.&#8221; These steps are known as the Ashtanga yoga. The first five limbs concern external aids while the last three address internal issues. Asana is one of the five external aids, or the third limb, and refers to discipline of the body. It stresses that the body should be kept disease-free while preserving vital energy. It is the teachings found in this book of the Sutras that give rise to what most Westerners construe as yoga.</p>
<p>Asana is the plural of asan which means body position or posture. Its purpose is to improve flexibility, vitality, and promote meditation. Some adherents of asana believe that practicing its positions open up the energy channels and psychic centers in the body. According to asana, any position assumed should be steady and comfortable, yet firm.</p>
<p>As alluded to earlier, the body should not experience any discomfort when assuming any pose. There are dozens of positions that a practitioner can strike, from beginner level to advanced.</p>
<p>Regardless of one&#8217;s level of expertise, there are some fundamental concepts that should be adhered to. The stomach should always be empty before commencing any exercise. The body should not experience any trembling from force or pressure. Breathing should be controlled and not erratic. Most of the exercises are not performed on a floor but rather on a mat, and at the conclusion of the session, time should be spent attaining a deep state of relaxation.</p>
<p>Poses can be done standing up, seated, supine, while balanced, or while the back is bent. There are a wide variety of poses and they can be classified as beginner, intermediate, or advanced level positions. Some beginner standing poses are The Downward Facing Dog, The Standing Forward Bend, and The Pyramid Pose. Seated poses such as Half Lord of the Fishes, Seated Wide Legged Straddle, and the Cobbler&#8217;s Pose are also geared towards those just starting out.</p>
<p>As mentioned, yoga encompasses much more than just forming your body into a specific pose. It is a philosophy that addresses not just corporeal well being but also spiritual needs as well. In fact, the first &#8220;limb&#8221; of the Sutras preaches such virtues as non-violence, truth in word and thought, and celibacy for those who are not married and monogamy for those who are.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Congratulations on your decision to get pregnant! Trying to conceive (TTC) is an exciting process, but there are some things you should know about ovulation cycles in order to predict your ovulation and maximize your chances of getting pregnant.</p>
<p>Generally, we start counting a menstrual cycle from the first day of your period, so that would be Cycle Day 1 (CD1). For several days your body will be shedding the uterine linings that were built up in the previous cycle in preparation for a possible embryo; since you didn&#8217;t yet get pregnant, that lining is now going away in the form of your menstrual flow so you can start fresh.</p>
<p>Ovulation gets triggered by the release of a hormone called the Lutenizing Hormone, often abbreviated as LH. The level of LH increases dramatically previous to ovulation, so most ovulation tests check for ovulation by testing the level of LH in your blood stream via proxies such as urine or saliva, thus the &#8220;pee sticks&#8221;. An egg then gets released from the ovary 12-24 hours after the LH surge, so monitoring the hormone levels is a good way of predicting when the ovulation will occur.</p>
<p>Charting, which involves checking the basal (resting) temperature of the woman as soon as she wakes up, preferably at the same time every day, also relies on the changes in the normal body temperature related to the hormone levels for indications of ovulation. However, as the fluctuations involved is rather small, usually only a degree or two at the most, it can be difficult to accurately read the charts.</p>
<p>When are you most fertile? Well, the sperm can survive in a woman&#8217;s body for up to 3 days, so it is possible for you to get pregnant anytime from 2 days before ovulation occurs until about 3 days later. This means that well-timed sex during those five days can maximize the chances for getting pregnant. During that time the mature egg is traveling on its way from the ovary down to the uterus; too early and the sperm won&#8217;t be around when the egg is ripe, too late and your body will be ready to clean house again with the next menstrual period.</p>
<p>Predicting your ovulation can be a complicated and frustrating process if you are not used to it or if your body doesn&#8217;t behave 100% like the textbook says, so for an easier way to determine your fertility level, you may want to consider a digital ovulation predictor such as the Clearblue Fertility Monitor that will do all the thinking for you.</p>

You&#8217;d need to avoid soft cheeses such as: Brie, Camembert, Roquefort, Feta, Gorgonzola and Mexican style cheeses that include queso blanco and queso fresco, unless they obviously make it clear that they&#8217;re made of pasteurized milk. All soft non-imported cheeses made with pasteurized milk are safe to eat. </p>
<p><b>Unpasteurized Milk:</b> Unpasteurized milk may contain bacteria called listeria, which could cause miscarriage. Listeria has the facility to cross the placenta and may infect the baby leading to infection or blood poisoning, which can be potentially terminal. Ensure that any milk you drink is pasteurized. </p>
<p><b>Pate:</b> Cooled pate or beef spreads need to be avoided because they may contain the bacteria listeria. Canned pate, or shelf-safe beef spreads can be eaten. </p>
<p><b>Caffeine:</b> Though most studies suggest that caffeine intake sparsely is OK, there are others that show that caffeine intake might be related to miscarriages. Avoid caffeine in the first trimester to scale back the chance of a miscarriage. As a rule, caffeine should be restricted to less than three hundred mg a day while carrying a child. Never miss a meal while you are with child, particularly breakfast.</p>
<p>Breakfast is the most vital meal of the day and your baby has potentially been waiting since he / she awakened in the middle of the night. Some of those foods may include foods that contain grease, junk foods, beef, and particular foods possessing a robust odour. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We all know how important a well-balanced diet is for us but we can’t stress enough how much more vital it is to take care of yourself that tad bit more during your pregnancy. You are now eating for two so you need to eat enough to keep both of you healthy.</p>
<p>Always eat breakfast. In fact, never miss a meal during your pregnancy. You may feel nauseated if you don’t eat in the morning. That is your body’s way of telling you to eat because your baby takes your nourishments.</p>
<p>Take all the good foods that you can. Have 4 to 6 servings of dairy during the day including milk, yogurt and cheese. These are important because they provide the baby with calcium which helps to grow healthy bones.</p>
<p>Fruit and vegetables are probably one of the most important things you can eat during your pregnancy. Think of alternative ways of replacing snacks with fruits and vegetables, especially the ones that are green in color. These will make sure that you have extra energy to have as normal days as possible during the pregnancy.</p>
<p>It is also important to avoid foods that are not good for the pregnancy. Stay away from raw or undercooked eggs, fish that is high in mercury such as swordfish, unpasteurised products, caffeine and undercooked meat.</p>
<p>In case you are unsure of any food, simply call up your doctor or midwife and ask them for a list of foods to avoid during your pregnancy. They will always have pamphlets at hand to send to you.</p>
<p>Make sure to drink plenty of fluids to keep your body well hydrated.</p>
<p>Being pregnant doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy your favourite fun foods! Feel free to treat yourself from time to time. Go out for a nice meal with your significant other, have lots of ice cream, fruit juices and smoothies!</p>
<p>Who knows, you may actually like this so much that you stick to eating and drinking healthier options after the pregnancy!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As we&#8217;ve all come to realise, Yoga is great for you. Especially if you are pregnant. Following is a list of benefits of practicing yoga during pregnancy.</p>
<p>Yoga is a set of simple exercises that can be performed safely during pregnancy. You may need to rethink some poses to make it pregnancy friendly, but most will work out easily for you.</p>
<p>Some of the benefits of yoga during pregnancy is increased flexibility, excess energy and stress relief. The practice also helps at the time of the birth. It will also help during labour by controlling pains and anxiety. It is claimed that prenatal yoga can also help the fetus grow physically and mentally.</p>
<p>Yoga, combined with other practices such as meditation, relaxation and breathing techniques, can help a pregnant woman make the general quality of life easier with stress release and energy boost.</p>
<p>Yoga shouldn&#8217;t be stopped after pregnancy. Instead, it should also be used to get back into shape after giving birth.</p>
<p>There are many products, books, videos and websites available that go in detail about each of the methods mentioned here. Look them up and be sure of what you are doing before you go ahead and do it. There&#8217;s nothing more important than personal safety during pregnancy.</p>
